A wonderful vintage piece of Chinese performing-arts history from our family\'s 2004 trip to China.
This lot includes the original Chinese Acrobatics / Traditional Folk Art program purchased at Beijing Chaoyang Opera Plaza, along with four original postcards purchased at the theater.
The program features extensive photographs and bilingual Chinese/English information about:

The program includes a detailed introduction to the Deyang Acrobatic Troupe and numerous full-color photographs of performances.
The four postcards feature performers in traditional Chinese opera costumes and characters, including Wu Dan, a female martial-arts/acrobatic character, and other traditional opera imagery. One postcard identifies the character Mu Gui Ying from The Battle at Mu Ke Village.
The program itself identifies the Deyang Acrobatic Troupe as being from Sichuan and gives its address in Deyang. The theater information also identifies Beijing Chaoyang Opera Plaza at No. 36, North Road Dong Sanhuan, Chaoyang District, Beijing, matching the longstanding location of Chaoyang Theatre.
Provenance: Purchased personally by our family at Beijing Chaoyang Opera Plaza during our 2004 trip to China. These are not later reproductions purchased online.

The program appears to be approximately 7.5 × 11 inches.
