Vintage Jingfa Beijing Cloisonné Ginger Jar With Stand China c.1960s-70s
A miniature lidded cloisonné ginger jar with separate stand, produced by the Beijing Enamel Factory under its Jingfa brand. The compact vessel is decorated with floral motifs and scrolling wirework against a rich cobalt and royal-blue enamel ground, with warm brass fittings providing contrast to the densely worked surface.
Constructed using traditional wire-cell cloisonné, or jingtailan, the decoration is formed from brass or copper cloisons defining individual enamel-filled compartments. Minor enamel pitting is present as a characteristic surface feature of the firing and finishing process, while the exposed brass shows age-related patination. The separate stand remains with the jar.
The reported original Jingfa factory tag identifies the maker as the Beijing Enamel Factory, Beijing, China, established in 1956 and associated with Jingfa-brand cloisonné production.
