Description
Parker VS Fountain Pen
NOS Mint Unusedw/Stickers
c. 1947 Q1
Royal Blue Lustraloy Cap
14k Fine Nib
This listing is for a Vintage Parker VS fountain pen, first quarter 1947, in mint unused condition with both original round barrel stickers still in place.
This is Parker’s short-lived “Vacumatic Successor,” introduced in late 1946. It combines the streamlined “51” profile and Lustraloy cap with a traditional open 14k gold nib and button-fill system.
Note: Production was brief (about 1946–1949), and early examples with the original clear Lucite comb feed are especially desirable. Parker switched to a black feed later in 1947 because the clear feed stained.
Date and identification
- Barrel imprint: PARKER VS / MADE IN U.S.A.
- Date code: 7 with three surrounding dots = first quarter 1947(each consecutive quarter a dot was removed to reflect the precise quarter the pen was made).
- Nib stamped PARKER U.S.A.
- Original stickers still on the barrel:
- “F 62 8.75” (Fine nib, original retail $8.75)
- “NO F.E. TAX”
Specifications

- Cap: Satin Lustraloy (brushed stainless) with polished lip and tapered clip marked PARKER
- Filling system: button filler; aluminum filler button under the screw-off blind cap
- Nib: 14k gold, Fine
- Feed: early clear Lucite comb feed (correct for Q1 1947)
- Made in U.S.A.
ConditionMint, unused, new-old-stock appearance. Original factory stickers remain on the barrel. Barrel, section, clutch ring, and blind cap show no cracks, chips, dents, or personalization. Lustraloy cap is clean with no dings. Nib tines align; tipping is intact and unused. This pen has not been inked.
Because it is unused and still stickered, I am offering it as a collector example. The original sac has not been replaced. The button filling mechanism pushes in like it should and feels like the bladder has not hardened. If you intend to write with it, a new sac at some point and a gentle flush would be the proper next step.
Please review the photos; they are of the actual pen. Feel free to ask questions before buying.
Note: This listing is just for the pen pictured...does not come with the box.
