Lot of 3 antique Durham-Duplex “Demonstrator” safety razors, black handles, comb-tooth guards, marked “PAT U.S.A. MAY 28 ’07 AND FOREIGN COUNTRIES” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” Includes original Durham-Duplex Demonstrator blade box (empty, shows wear/foxing) and “A Real Razor — Not a Toy or a Model” advertising insert from the Durham-Duplex Razor Company, Jersey City, NJ (factories also in Sheffield, Paris, Toronto). Early 20th century. Handles show scratches, brassing on rivets, and light oxidation on the metal guards consistent with age. Great for collectors of early wet-shaving/barbering equipment.
