Original vintage Empire Room advertising matchbook from the historic Rice Hotel in Houston, Texas. The Empire Room was created during a major 1938 remodeling of the Rice and became one of the hotel\'s notable Art Deco dining and entertainment spaces. The Rice Hotel itself opened in 1913 and was one of Houston\'s landmark downtown hotels. This matchbook remains complete with its original blue-tipped matches intact and appears unstruck.
