Beautiful old-stock matching pair of what I believe to be Los Choyas solid coconut geodes from Mexico. These were cut directly from the same large, solid nodule and have been kept together as a matching pair. Both halves show excellent blue-gray, white, and translucent agate banding with multiple tight fortification layers and a really clean, balanced pattern. The interior is almost completely solid agate rather than a large open crystal cavity, which gives these a substantial, heavy feel and makes the matching pattern especially impressive. One of my favorite parts of this pair is the deep, complete natural husk. Both halves retain essentially the entire original exterior, so when placed back together you can really appreciate how large and intact the original coconut geode was. The thick old-weathered rind also gives them a great display look from the sides and back. The faces have been cut and polished to show the banding clearly. This is a large, heavy pair and would make an excellent centerpiece, collector specimen, or display pair.• Matching halves from the same nodule
