Offering this 100% genuine signature of WWII ace Capt. ROBERT EMMETT CLEMENTS, USN (1916-1989). Clements served as a naval fighter pilot during WWII. He served abord the battleship Pennsylvania upon graduation from Annapolis after which he became an aviator. He served as the XO of VF-11 aboard the USS Hornet and downed 5 enemy planes becoming an ace. Signed 1940 USNA yearbook photo/bio. Size = 5" x 5.5". Good shape w/ normal signs of age.VERY Scarce signature in this USNA format.Read the entire listing carefully. If you have questions for something not already in the listing ask them before buying. Accepting want lists for military signatures. Serious buyers only. I'm recovering from a stroke and have zero patience or wherewithal for dealing with time wasters. No low ballers, hagglers, know-it-alls, or bargain hunters. Absolutely NO supposed relatives, self-proclaimed historians/authors/curators, the merely curious, or others who think lame bargaining ploys will net them gold for the price of tin.
I am not a dealer. I am a PRIVATE COLLECTOR. I am fully retired. I have no overhead or a driving need to sell. But I have been collecting military signatures for about 60 years now. Due to health issues, I'm offering these items solely as a means to downsize my accumulations and share with fellow collectors while I am still able to do so.
