This item is a Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA) reproduction of a mid-19th-century Scottish Thistle Measure.
The reproduction, typically made by Gorham Pewter, was modeled after an original half-pint measure created in Glasgow around 1864. These pieces were popular museum shop items and are often marked on the bottom with "Metropolitan Museum Reproduction," the Gorham hallmark, and the date of the original piece (1864).
Minor scratches. Dull gray pewter.
