The N.S. Meyer Company of New York City was one of America's foremost insignia makers until it folded over 20 years ago. In addition to the U.S. government, N.S. Meyer contracted with many foreign governments within the Western Hemisphere for their insignia needs. These items are NEW old stock cleared from the factory when it was liquidated. All between 40 and 60 years old, still on their maker cards, and are UNUSED. They are as bright and pretty as the day they were made! These were difficult to photograph as they are still very shiny with their heavy plating.
This one was worn by the Generals in the Venezuelan Army. The socialist Chavez regime changed the national crest so that the white horse in the center now faces to the LEFT instead of to the right. This is the older version badge. This badge is 2" tall with great detail and beautiful hard enamel work. It comes with its spinner nut.
