This is a working set of Vintage British Army Handheld Transceiver (Receiver/Transmitter Set) TRA 971's from the Falklands War Era as used by British Army Special Operations Forces, Special Air Service(SAS) are highly collectible military radios with a rich military history. Made in the United Kingdom, these pieces of militaria hold special significance as a historical relic from a specific time period (Falklands War) in British Military History. This is a complete TRA 971 handheld radio set which includes (2) radios with (2) tactical collapsable antennas, (2) tactical carrying pouches. Both Radios tested and working. Communicate well on internal channels 1 and 2. They take (8) C type batteries for each radio. Come with collapsible antennas for radios which give range of 1-5 miles. Radios in great condition, some nicks or scratches but overall very nice. The collapsible antenna lanyards getting worn, stretched lanyard string is still intact on both. Straps to hold antenna pouches to radio are also aged, but still intact/functional. Radio pouches/velcro straps in excellent shape. Batteries will not be included.
