“Gold Scarab — Egyptian, XVIII Dynasty, about 1460 B.C.”
The card states that the original was discovered at Wadi Gabbanat el Qirud, Thebes and was the personal property of one of the three Syrian wives of Thutmose III, possibly made for burial. It also references The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Fletcher Fund, 1921.
