A vintage (possibly antique, circa late 20th century) lovely handcrafted Hopi (Arizona) Native American Katsinam (spirits or deities) design large basket (plaque) tray. This design often represents Katsina such as “Mana” or “Maiden” which serves as a prayer for corn. Please note (see last two photos) there is a damaged area on rim as shown, but the piece is whole for professional repair. I used a bookmark to demonstrate the central elevated woven piece (front and back) is woven above plaque. Amazingly woven artistry (passed down for generations.) Special piece for the collector. Will pack with care.
