Striking vintage hand-turned wooden lidded vessel featuring richly layered carved, incised and painted decoration.The rounded vessel has a fitted, sloping lid topped with a turned wood finial. Decorative details include contrasting dark bands, repeating geometric and scroll-like motifs, raised ochre accents and extensive visible wood grain. The interior beautifully shows concentric marks from the turning process.A small handwritten “3” is visible inside the lid. No maker’s mark or definitive country of origin was found, so no specific cultural or regional attribution is being made.Measures approximately 4¾–5” across.
