Vintage Dha Southeast Asian Single-Edged Sword w/Wooden Scabbard
The Dha swords were prominent during the Vietnam War era, serving dual roles as combat weapons for indigenous tribes and as highly popular souvenirs for American servicemen. The indigenous peoples of Vietnam’s Central Highlands, collectively known as the Montagnards(or "Yards"), heavily utilized these traditional swords. They fought alongside U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets).
Blade and Hilt Features: The single-edged steel blade features a subtly curved spine, and the handle typically exhibits traditional rattan cord wrapping.
Scabbard Design: The accompanying wooden scabbard is dark or lacquered and bound with woven rattan.
