Vintage 1969 NASA Apollo 11 DoD Commendation Certificate and Patches For Sale

Stored in an Acid free bag since I aquired them.This is a fantastic piece of space-race history: an original July 1969 Department of Defense Commendation Certificate awarded for operational support during mankind's historic first Moon landing flight, Apollo 11.This historic document was officially awarded to N. Karlberg by the Manager for Manned Space Flight Support Operations. The Department of Defense played a massive behind-the-scenes role in tracking, global communications, and ocean recovery operations for the Apollo program.What’s Included in This Lot:

1. Original DoD Apollo 11 Support Certificate: Measures approximately 14" x 11". Features the beautifully styled "Department of Defense" gothic typography and official graphics of the Lunar Module on the Moon. It bears the facsimile (printed) signatures of astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins, alongside printed signatures from Major General David M. Jones and Colonel Royce G. Olson.
2. Apollo 11 Mission Patch: Classic 3-inch embroidered insignia featuring the eagle landing on the moon.
3. Apollo 11 LEM 5 Patch: Celebrates Lunar Module 5 (Eagle), dated 1969.

Condition Notes:
The items are in vintage, pre-owned condition. The certificate has been kept flat but shows some age-appropriate edge wear, minor corner soft spots, and light surface wrinkling/creasing along the top right margin (please inspect photos closely for full details). The patches are clean with sharp embroidery.This is a wonderful, display-ready addition for any serious space exploration or militaria collector.
