Vintage 1933-34 Chicago World\'s Fair \"Sky Ride\" Souvenir Bent Wood Cane

• I\'m offering this souvenir walking cane commemorating the Sky Ride, the architectural symbol and signature attraction of Chicago\'s 1933–34 Century of Progress World\'s Fair
• The Sky Ride was a transporter bridge with two 628-foot towers spanning 1,850 feet across the fairgrounds, carrying rocket-shaped cars that transported 4.5 million passengers over the fair\'s lagoon before being demolished after the exposition closed
• Embossed copper band on the shaft reads \"Chicago World\'s Fair Sky Ride\" with \"19\" and \"33\" flanking a small illustration of the ride
• Steam-bent wood crook handle, classic cane construction of the period
• Good condition with some splitting of the wood right at the bend where it was originally steam-bent, along with normal wear expected of a nearly 100-year-old item
• Measures 35\" long from tip to top of the curve; the curve is 6\" across, with a shaft diameter of just over 3/4\"
