AIGHT LISTEN UP CAUSE THESE THINGS OLD AS HELL AND WE AIN’T ABOUT TO DESTROY EM TRYNA COUNT SHIT.
This is a vintage Coca-Cola “The World of Nature” Nature Study Card collection, dating to approximately 1929–1933. These was made for visual instruction and educational use, with different series covering plants, animals, birds, flowers, insects, earth, water and all that nature business.
From what we can see, all 8 series are represented in this collection.
Included are cards from:
* Series I – Earth and Air and Sky
* Series II – Man’s Closest Friends and Most Inveterate Enemies
* Series III – Trees and Other Plants Useful to Man
* Series IV – Some Common Wild Flowers
* Series V – Among Our Feathered Friends
* Series VI – Native Wild Animals
* Series VII – Life In and Around the Water
* Series VIII – Insects, Helpful and Harmful
Also included is the original cardboard storage box and multiple original paper series sleeves.
NOW HERE THE IMPORTANT PART:
These original paper sleeves are almost 100 years old and they fragile. We are NOT pulling all the cards out just to count them because that is exactly how somebody turn a cool antique into a pile of ripped paper.
So listen carefully before you hit Buy It Now hollerin at me later:
Cards have NOT been individually counted. This listing is NOT guaranteeing a complete 96-card set. All eight series appear to be represented based on the cards and packets present. Please look closely at all photographs and purchase based on what is shown.
Condition is vintage and absolutely shows its age. Paper sleeves have tears, splits, wrinkles, discoloration and general wear. Outer box has significant wear. Cards also show age-related wear, toning and occasional marks.
And no, we ain’t “fixing” none of it. It survived damn near a century. It can stay exactly how it is.
Beautiful old Coca-Cola advertising, educational ephemera, natural-history illustration and one hell of a survivor.
