This item is being sold in its authentic, as found vintage condition. It has NOT been cleaned, polished, or chemically treated in order to preserve its original patina and prevent any accidental damage to the lithograph paint.Exterior Graphics - The main yellow front and back panels are remarkably bright and vivid with excellent color contrast. There are some standard light scratches and minor scuffs, but the central imagery remains clean and highly presentable.
Edges & Borders - There is expected edge wear, paint chipping, and surface oxidation/rust spots running along the raised red metal borders and seams.
Hardware & Handle - The original metal handle and latch are fully intact and functional. Both show heavy surface rust and oxidation consistent with its 70-year age.
Manufacturer Decal The yellow text decal under the handle reads clearly: "MANUFACTURED IN CANADA BY KRUGER MFG. CO. LTD. TORONTO, ONTARIO." It is in great shape with only minor scuffing.
Interior - The interior features the original white paint finish. The bottom floor and lid interior are surprisingly clean. There is moderate, concentrated rust scaling along the back hinge seam and the top inside rim where the lid seals. No deep pitting or structural holes.
