Original c.1845 French sentimental gift book titled “Bouquet à l’Amitié – Langage Mystérieux – Monuments du Cœur.”
The covers feature gilt and blue chromolithographic decoration in a mid-19th-century romantic style. The interior includes additional gilt panels reading “Souvenir de Tendresse et d’Estime” and “Pour l’Amitié et l’Amour.” The album contains a series of engraved vignette plates printed on thick wove stock depicting domestic and romantic genre scenes. These albums were produced in Paris as small-format keepsakes during the period.
Condition:
Light wear to covers with minor rubbing to gilt areas. The interior plates are clean and sharply printed. Binding remains intact and the album is complete.
