Authentic amber is lightweight and warm to the touch, unlike plastic imitations. Real amber is fluorescent under UV light. Many imitations have inclusions of large spiders and lizards - these large animals and insects simply wouldn't be caught in tree sap and trapped! Typical inclusions are between a few millimetres to one or two centimetres. Larger inclusions are rare and demand a high premium. How can I store my amber?
