Opium is a rich amber-spice fragrance built around warm spices, florals and resins, with notes of clove, cinnamon, jasmine and rose over an ambery base of myrrh, patchouli, sandalwood and vanilla. Introduced by Yves Saint Laurent in 1977, Opium became one of the house's defining fragrances and a landmark of late-20th-century perfumery.
