Pilot Hira Makie Fountain Pen, Bamboo, 14k Medium NibThis is an unused item, stored at home for a long period.Due to minor scuffs from long-term storage, it is listed as \"Near Mint.\"It is likely from 2015.(The nib has a \"615\" marking.)Currently, Pilot does not sell Maki-e fountain pens under the Pilot brand.(They are sold under the Namiki brand.)Therefore, this Hira Maki-e fountain pen, with the Pilot brand from that era, is a rare deadstock item.[Hira Maki-e]Designs are drawn with colored and raw urushi lacquer, dusted with gold powder, and after drying, multiple layers of urushi are applied. Once hardened, it is polished to a glossy finish.This maki-e fountain pen features a brass cap and barrel finished with Roiro-urushi lacquer, adorned with Hira Maki-e.Although there are minor scuffs, the unique feel of the lacquer, which seems to adhere to the hand, is very comfortable.This item is rarely seen, so why not take this opportunity?
