Our friend Mr. Peanut here stands about 47" tall and is 19" side to side at the hat brim. There have been a few repairs all photographed. One is on the bottom edge where he was starting to split on the bottom edge. It was repaird with a rivet and piece of metal to assure it would not turn into an issue. The spit was only an inch or so. The second repair was the same with a slip along the top of his hat. Both are secure and the damage is stopped. It appears that someone also replaced the screens. They likely should be black but could be painted. If I really wanted to restore this gentleman, and he is worth the effort, I would replace the screens doing a better job.
The clasps to hold his hat are intact and the shoulder pads are intact. I could just a bit of cleaning, but for almost 65 years old he is very impressive.
The shipping rates currently being quoted are extremely high—between $500 and $1,500—which I believe are unrealistic.
I have added $200 for shipping and will do my very best to keep the actual shipping cost near that amount. To reduce the cost, I may need to ship the hat and the body separately in two boxes.
If the actual shipping cost exceeds $300, I will contact you before shipping. I will work with you to see if we can make mutually acceptable arrangements regarding the additional cost.
However, if the shipping cost exceeds $300 and we are unable to agree on acceptable terms, I reserve the right to cancel the sale and issue you a full refund.
ALSO, I normally ship the same day, but this MAY take a couple of days sort out. I will be working diligently on it. This listing defaults to USP, but that may not be the carrier.
