Pull top cover off by lifting on the round end. Remove several stamps from a roll, slip the roll into the round cavity in the bottom piece, and thread the empty tape around the front and through the tabs on the bottom. Snap the top piece back in place by hooking the front and then pressing the back down.
Apply stamps by placing thumb on top indent and second finger on the tape below.
To pull a stamp out and press it down, simultaneously pull tape with finger from below while pressing down with thumb and rotating the applicator forwards.
Try fanning a stack of envelopes, apply a stamp, let an envelope fall, apply another stamp, etc.
With a little practice, you can apply a lot of stamps quickly.
