Possenti I Tarocchi 933/1000 – Vallardi – Artist Proof Style – Mark on XII
This is the limited I Tarocchi Major Arcana deck by Italian surrealist Antonio Possenti, numbered 933/1000 and issued by Vallardi Galleria d’Arte for the inauguration of their Sarzana gallery on April 7, 2012. All 22 cards are in near‑mint collector condition from the Rainbow Bird Collection, with bright artwork, clean surfaces, and no rubbing or edge wear. The original Vallardi box and inner flap are present with only minimal shelf wear.
Most cards include small pencil notations, symbols, or marks consistent with artist or gallery review handling. These markings appear on nearly all cards and are not part of the printed design. They give the deck a distinct artist‑proof style presentation and reflect the working or approval process behind this limited edition. Card XII – L’Impiccato includes one of the more visible notations.
The internal cover shows a very slight vertical surface indentation consistent with a printing or manufacturing pressure mark, with no interior crease.
The original Vallardi Galleria information card is included.
This edition was not issued with a booklet.
