Polo Team Flag, Collector's Item, From IPC Wellington, FL - Team Black Watch For Sale

Original Polo Flag - Team Black Watch. This is a one-of-a-kind collector's item from many years ago, when Team Black Watch was playing and winning polo tournaments at the International Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. Neil Hirsh was the patron.
Black Watch won the 2004 Mercedes Polo Challenge at Bridgehampton, NY, as well as the 2007 Hall of Fame Cup, in Wellington, FL. Significant teams playing in tournaments used to have flags with their team names on them flying above the stadium at the International Polo Club; Black Watch was no exception. This flag flew for many years atop the stadium at IPC, Wellington, Florida. Size: 48"x67" It is two-sided, hand-sewn. You can see that on one side, some of the black on the helmet and the black toe of the mallet head are missing. Only a true polo collector would recognize and appreciate the value of this original flag. It is priceless.
The team is named after the Scottish Black Watchregiment that served the British Crown for 266 years.Notable polo players who played on Team Black Watch were: Nacho Figueras,Bautista Heguy, Matias MacDonough, and Francisco De Varvaez Jr.
