This is an extraordinary handwritten letter from legendary visual effects artist Phil Tippett, written to Norman Reynolds authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services. The letter, written entirely in Tippett’s hand, discusses the design and sculpting of the iconic Tauntaun creature from Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. This piece represents a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creative process that shaped one of cinema’s most memorable creatures. This letter was part of Tippett\'s archives and was written to art director and production designer Norman Reynolds was was in the UK working on the full size Taun-Taun during production of the film. This is an extremely rare artifact, directly from Tippett\'s own archive and details his work on the creature which turned out to be in the opening shot of the film.
