This is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage 1963 Austin Productions bust of Johann Sebastian Bach. This striking mid-century sculpture features a deeply textured, expressive design characteristic of Austin Productions' finest portrait pieces and It is finished in a rich, dark charcoal/bronze patina that perfectly accentuates the dramatic details of Bach’s face and iconic wig. One of the amazing details that Austin captured is the flared right nostril that was portrayed in Elias Haussman's portrait done in 1748 as well as others. The bust comes securely mounted on its original polished rectangular wooden base. It is in pristine vintage condition with no chips or cracks and unlike others there is no white showing through from the stone and no wear on the wood base. This piece looks new.
