The official Proof Edition Bronze Inaugural Medal
For sale is the official Proof Edition commemorative bronze medal issued for the second inauguration of President Richard Nixon and Vice President Spiro Agnew, dated January 20, 1973. The obverse features conjoined profile portraits of Nixon and Agnew, while the reverse displays the Presidential Seal encircled by inscription noting the inauguration. Edge marked "The Franklin Mint" with serial number and "1973 Inaugural Committee - Solid Bronze." A substantial and well-detailed historical piece. Measurements are approximately 0.25"H x 2.75" diameter. The weight is 224.77 g. It comes in the original presentation box with Inaugural seal. Box shows age wear and there is slight damage at top right side (see photo). The medal itself and the stand remain factor sealed in original plastic. These are both in mint condition.
