The nearly 70-year-old vintage vinyl body was stripped of decades of surfaceoils, smoke film, and atmospheric degradation. The substrate was chemicallyneutralized and stabilized to eliminate the sticky plasticizer migration commonto mid-century plastics, ensuring a pristine foundation.
2.STRUCTURAL BONDING PRIMER
To ensure permanent adhesion, the figure was completely sealed in an advancedmulti-surface structural bonding primer. This creates a permanent, non-porousbarrier between the vintage vinyl and the new pigment layers, completelypreventing future paint flaking, bubbling, or cracking.
3.HIGH-CONTRAST HAND-PAINTED DETAILING
Using ultra-fine graphic pigment mediums, her signature mid-century pin-upfeatures were completely reimagined with incredible by hand:
- Eyes: Styled with retro black eyeliner, custom soft pink eyeshadow, and brown contoured vintage brows.
- Body: Coated in a vibrant, rich candy-apple red bikini following her iconic molded lines perfectly.
