Simmonds was a career politician who believed in doing whatever was necessary, not necessarily what was right. He covered up the true scale of astronaut deaths to keep the Meta mission on track, and after the Moon broke free he refused to accept life on Alpha. In Earthbound he extorted his way onto an alien ship bound for Earth, only to wake trapped in a stasis chamber decades from home — screaming for help that would never come.
Roy Dotrice played him with a chilling mix of charm and ruthlessness. This 22-inch MPC replica captures that exact craft, complete with the distinctive orange passenger pod. A piece of Space 1999 history, and one of the most memorable characters in the series.
