Vintage hand-carved, hand-painted solid mahogany desktop display model of the Lockheed T-33A "T-Bird" Shooting Star — the same distinctive Air Training Command scheme (serial 16937 / TR-937, yellow checkerboard tail, yellow tip tank stripe) that new-production replicas of this design currently retail for $225+ elsewhere. This is a genuine vintage piece, built in the classic style of Toys and Models Corporation (TMC) of the Philippines, the well-known maker of military PX/gift shop aircraft models produced for U.S. service members from the 1960s through the 1990s.
The T-33 served as the USAF's primary jet trainer from 1948 to 1961, and this Air Training Command livery is period-accurate to that era. Built to 1/48 scale and mounted on its original wood presentation stand.
Condition is excellent — clean paint, crisp decals, no chips or damage to the tip tanks, canopy, or tail. A great piece for T-33 veterans, Air Training Command alumni, USAF jet trainer collectors, or anyone building a Cold War-era military aviation display — at a fraction of the cost of a brand-new replica in the same livery.
