LOT 410x-35mm lot of 35mm photo slides covers the 1950s through 1960s. Most appear to be of a young army enlisted man (Lt. D. P. Schmigel?) showing a young family in the 50s and his time in the miliary in the early 1960s. There are many slides of travel through out Eastern Europe and Asia Minor (particularly Greece, Turkey). There are a few photos of local people
Please review the attached pictures as representative samples. I used an old digital camera to take pictures of the slides shown on a whiteboard, so the pictures do not always give them justice. The slides are overall clear and intact and many have color, although it pops out better in some slides than others (I tried to capture this in the pictures). Some of the travel slides may be washed out-it's hard to tell if the slides are faded or if the landscape is just bright making it difficult to distinguish features.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of places and locations included in this lot-I did NOT go through all of the slides.
Locations/Points of Interest/Box Markings (I believe the box titles are accurate)* People, both locals and the family of the owner (I assume). There are pictures of holidays (multiple Christmases, Easter)* Cars from the 1950-60* Istanbul* Ephesus* Iznik* Yolova* Athens* Troy* USA* Bayou-there is a pictures of live alligators, parrots* Mountains* Parade* Many military pictures: the boxes indicated Gunter AFB, Dining In, "Back of BOQ", "BFLO", housing/barracks
...and other subjects/locations.
