Rare LITTLE BIGHORN BATTLEFIELD/CUSTERS LAST STAND ARTIFACT with provenance from HERITAGE sales. This artifact was owned and documented by author Glenwood J. Swanson. Photographs of the artifact appear on page 280 of Glenwood Swanson‘s book about George Armstrong Custer titled “GA Custer, His Life and Times”. Please note that a photocopy of page 280 of Swanson’s book and a photocopy of the book’s cover will be shipped with the provenance and the artifact itself. Rare leather and cloth fragments from the Little Bighorn Battlefield. Most items made of these perishable materials failed to survive over a century of exposure to the often harsh Montana weather. These pieces were found on several areas of the field, as well as near the large fire pit located in the Indian camp. All are pictured of page 280 of Glenwood Swanson‘s “GA Custer, His Life and Times”.
