This very cute, rather classic, landscape-scene-on-a-hanging-plate is from mid-20th century Japan and is almost 4 inches wide and almost 1 inch deep. It weighs 3.2 ounces and has a triangular metal hanger glued to the back (probably put there by its previous owner as opposed to the manufacturer). The cherry blossom tree on the right is especially charming!
Reiterating from the "Condition Description" section above:
Good vintage condition. No chips or cracks, but there are some flea bites on the backside as well as some tiny ones on the front. A bit of the inner gold painted band around the rim has worn off, as well as almost all of what appears to be an outer gold band. Please examine photos carefully.
