Original CDV of Jennings Seminary in Aurora, Illinois.Jennings Seminary was established in 1855 under the name of ClarkSeminary in honor of Reverend John Clark, a Methodist clergyman who firstprojected the institution. At first, the school was coeducational, but in 1900,it became a seminary for girls. In 1864, Elza Jennings gave $15,000.00toward the endowment of the seminary and consequently, the name waschanged from Clark to Jennings Seminary. CDV is 4\" x 2.5\" and in VG antique condition. 7679F
