Impressive vintage European carved meerschaum pipe, 9 1/2" tall! (X2535) This sizeable pipe might not be an antique but I expect that its 50-75 years old. Carved from one solid piece of meerschaum (at least 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 4") it depicts a classical bust of a man (or woman) with long flowing hair, the shaft is surmounted by decorative roses. Though it has never been smoked, the stem may be a replacement and appears to be hard rubber. Inside the bowl the following letters are penciled in: "FODERMAIRA".
