This gorgeous specimen of ultra-rare Black Druze is from The Herkimer Diamond Mines KOA Resort in Middleville, New York!
This is a piece of dolostone matrix overgrown with Black Druze quartz with several larger \"percher\" Herkimer Diamonds perched on top. The crystals are somewhat elongated and have excellent clarity with deep black hydrocarbon phantoms and internal rainbows. Perfectly sharp edges and terminations. Virtually no damage, a flawless specimen! A beautiful example of some of the most sought after Herkimer material!
