I don't know if this was a part of a missionary group. From what I have read, they are in Switzerland and Austria. There is a handout of participants to a GWATT Conference, 1949, which was a historical gathering of intellectuals, specialists, and displaced persons, held in Gwatt, Switzerland. It was organized to give a voice for refugees. The name on the book plate matches a listing of the attendees and they represented Mennonite church.
Dates on pages don't always correspond to entries as sometimes there are 2 days entries on one dated page, but is a very interesting read. I have not read it all. Also includes a packing list for travel.
Some pages have ink that is smeared, but most all pages readable. A glimpse into another time and perspective of life.
