Early GWOT SOF Issue Fleece Jacket (OEF Era) – Peckham / Military Issue – L/XL
Description:
Original U.S. military-issued fleece jacket from the early days of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). This is one of the early SOF-used fleece layers that predates the more common ECWCS Gen III system.
Manufacturer tag shows Peckham, a well-known U.S. military contractor.
This is a hard-to-find piece from the opening phase of GWOT—simple, durable, and extremely comfortable. Not something you typically see come up, especially with this kind of background.
⸻
Features:
* Heavyweight black fleece construction
* Full-zip front with hood
* Zippered hand pockets
* Reinforced inner panels
* Military contract manufacture (Peckham)
⸻
Condition:
* Good overall condition
* Some light lint/pilling consistent with fleece
* No rips, tears, or structural issues
* All zippers and pockets function properly
I’ve only worn this a couple of times. It will be washed prior to sale. While pets are in the home, they’ve never had contact with the jacket—any minor hair is just the usual “it lives in the same house” situation.
Will ship anywhere in CONUS for 20$
⸻
Size:
* Large / XL (fits between the two)
⸻
Additional Notes:
* Name tape (“ELLIS”) was added later while on staff at a military prep school
* Can be easily removed if desired
⸻
Why it’s unique:
This comes from the transitional period before standardized cold weather systems, when SOF units were using a mix of issued and specialized gear. Pieces like this don’t surface often and are sought after by collectors and those familiar with early GWOT kit
