Fenton produced their 3-piece Burmese vanity sets (which included a perfume bottle, covered box, and tray) in 2005 to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary. These limited edition sets featured a handpainted hummingbird designed by Frances Burton. The hummingbird is embellished with 24 carat gold. It is signed on the bottom by the Fenton artist, D. Robinson. This set is in perfect condition with no defects that I have been able to detect. This is a numbered set with the numbers marked on the bottom of the perfume bottle and the bottom of the vanity box.
I'm selling this set for only $60.00 more than it cost in 2005. Please see the photo of the original price tag which is still attached to the tray. I have seen them selling for over $600.00 on and some other sites that feature art glass. Fenton had to close their doors in 2012 and so there will be no more of this gorgeous handmade art glass made which makes their items even more valuable. Fenton had and still carries the reputation for the best art glass made on the market. You can easily see this when you have a piece of their glassware in your hands and can examine it for yourself.
The Fenton sticker is still attached and it is signed by the Fenton artist, D. Robinson on the bottom of the tray. Please see the photos. This would make an excellent addition to any Fenton collection given its history and the popularity of Fenton's burmese glass made with uranium. From a smoke free environment.
Will be very wrapped with special care and insured for the amount of purchase.
