Charming original hand-painted ceramic tile by Scottish artist Elspeth Gardner, handmade in Glasgow, Scotland.This 6” square tile features one of Gardner’s wonderfully whimsical Scottish scenes—a curly-horned sheep surrounded by green countryside, purple heather-covered hills, a red-roofed cottage and Scottish thistle.Elspeth Gardner specializes in individually freehand-drawn, hand-painted and glazed ceramic tiles, so no two are exactly alike.Signed “eg” on the front. Complete with four felt feet and attached hanger, so it can be displayed on the wall or used as a decorative trivet. Condition: Good preowned condition with light signs of age/use and some discoloration/marks to the reverse. Please see photos.
