PLEASE READ…First, this IS NOT the typical souvenir cel that you used to be able to get in the ANIMATION GALLERY TOUR GIFT SHOP. Upon opening of the Florida tour and studio, a handful of hand painted cels were created for the opening crew. These stand apart from the generic sold ones by the silver stamp on them. Please see photo. This also has “Grand Opening May 1, 1989” written on it. You don’t get that on the generic ones.And what sets this piece apart is the letter that COMES WITH IT. It is hand signed by a few people, most notably the Head of Feature Animation at the time, as well as Walt’s nephew, Roy Disney. These are not pre printed or stamped, these are hand signed signatures. And to add a little icing to the cake, this lot comes with a framed original Wrap Party invite for the Tour. It is closed but if you open it you have all the details for the party, like the time and location. And in the frame you get a couple Feature Animation pins for the display. I’ve only seen two of these pop up for sale and both times they didn’t have the signed letter to go with the cel.
