DUNHILL RARE UNSMOKED 1993 CHRISTMAS PIPE \"PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE\" ESTATE PIPE For Sale

People ask me all the time how hard it is not to keep many of the pipes I offer and while I stay disciplined for the most part, admittedly this one almost didn\'t make it onto the sale block! I love everything about this pipe and it is my absolute favorite from the 12 Days of Christmas series for many reasons. Made in 1993 this pipe retailed for $1500 which today is $3400; not a cheap pipe! Only 500 were made with this one numbered 106 and comes complete with original box, sleeve, paperwork/COA and of course the lovely Chelsea green leather-bound \"book\" case which holds the pipe and tamper. The pipe is a classic shape 4106, the perfect and quintessentially English Pot dressed in a beautiful Cumberland finish. It sports a wide cylindrical bowl offering super thick walls while the rim is adorned with a solid Sterling Silver cap that is absolutely brilliant with a chamber offering healthy capacity. Shank is robust and round and also adorned with silver, a band inscribed \"A Partridge in a Pear Tree\" denoting the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me! Stem is Cumberland with crisp white spot, excellent \"grain\" and a slight fishtail bit. The Cumberland finish and blast as previously mentioned is remarkable, awesome birdseye craters covering the entire left side with amazing starburst to the right, wow! The tamper is incredible, solid Sterling as well with a tree and partridge above. This pipe and display to me is one of the reasons Dunhills are special, a phenomenal offering indeed and with Christmas right around the corner, a chance to grab yourself or someone special that perfect gift!!

Due to an almost 25% increase for Express and Priority Shipping, I am switching back to First Class for $25 moving forward to all international destinations. Restoration Methods: I have been restoring pipes for 17 years and have taken bits and pieces from many guys whom I consider the best there ever was in the business and built upon it with my own experience and tricks of the trade. Each pipe is first cleaned by removing all cake, making the chamber smooth and round again if necessary, removing all gunk in the shank and stem with alcohol, then exterior cleaning and polishing of the stummel and stem with no oxidation left but at the same time leaving the vulcanite or acrylic and any logos intact. My restorations end with the pipe looking like new and being completely free from previous signs of use. I do not use salt/alcohol treatments in my bowls but rather if the pipe smells of prior tobacco I will put it in my ozone chamber to make neutral. Lastly, many guys ask me \"how are your pipes so shiny!!??\" I lightly use the fluffy edge of my white diamond buffing wheel to clean and restore stummels which removes all grime and oils while restoring the original factory luster. I then hand buff and finish with a flannel wheel with high quality carnauba applying multiple coats as they do at the factory as well. This results in the pipe looking as new and will keep it\'s finish with a simple terry cloth hand buffing at home. Enjoy!-Deadmanspipes
