Thislisting is for two 1.25" pinback buttons inspired by Dune. Duneis a science fiction universe that originated with the 1965 novelDune by Frank Herbert, frequently cited as the best-selling sciencefiction novel in history. It won the 1966 Hugo Award and theinaugural Nebula Award for Best Novel.
‘Dune’was adapted into a 1984 film (directed by David Lynch and starringKyle MacLachlan, Patrick Stewart, Brad Dourif and Sean Young), aswell as a 2000 television miniseries. Herbert wrote five sequels, andthe first two were presented as a miniseries in 2003. The Duneuniverse has also inspired some traditional games and a series ofvideo games. Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner 2049) isdirecting a new adaption that was released in2021 and 2024.
