This wonderful 1860\'s/1870\'s cotton starburst / sunburst quilt is all hand pieced and hand quilted, with wonderful early fabrics.It measures 80\" X 82\" and is in very good condition, with light surface dirt in places, and just the beginnings of wear in a few brown pieces and right at the edge of the binding in places.There are straight line designs quilted throughout at 7-8 stitches to the inch.
The back and hand stitched, rolled binding are an early brown print and the batting is thin. The quilt came out of eastern Pennsylvania.
