1) Desktop commemorative medal \"CHERNOBYL NPP\"

This medal was awarded to particularly distinguished workers of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant who took part in eliminating the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. As well as particularly distinguished personnel of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant working at the 3 remaining operating reactors. The item is taken from a private collection. The original box is included. Rare!!! New, may contain minor traces of storage.On the reverse side of the medal there are also the names and initials of the authors of the medal sketch. The mark of the Leningrad Mint, where the medal was made. And the year of manufacture: 1991. Made in the USSR. Material — alloy (heavy metal). Size: approx. 2.4 inches or 6 cm. Weight: 131.8g or 4.65oz.

Large desktop commemorative medal “Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant” with a diameter of 60 mm. On the front side of the table medal there is the emblem of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant: “a semicircle - schematically denoting a nuclear reactor in the flat lower part of which is the inscription Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and in the upper there are three vertical rods - a schematic representation of the fuel rods lowered into the reactor.” A characteristic feature of the emblem is that in the personal description of this emblem, Leonid Ivanov indicates a completely different interpretation. Namely: with a semicircle of background, the author depicted the confinement of the destroyed block (the so-called sarcophagus), and three vertical rods designated the three remaining working reactors.

On the reverse of the medal, a convex embossing depicts a leaf of a tree, which personified (according to the authors) a peaceful life disrupted by the hurricane of the Chernobyl accident. The edge of the medal is smooth. The ratio of obverse and reverse is medallion.On the reverse side of the medal there are also the names and initials of the authors of the medal sketch. The mark of the Leningrad Mint, where the medal was made. And the year of manufacture: 1991.

This medal was awarded to people who took an active part in the construction and development of the city of Slavutich.The item is taken from a private collection. The original box is included. Rare!!! New, may contain minor traces of storage. On the obverse side of the medal are also placed the surnames and initials of the authors of the sketch of the medal. The hallmark of the Leningrad Mint, where the medal was produced. And year of release: 1991. Made in the USSR. Material — alloy (heavy metal).

Large tabletop commemorative medal “Slavutych” diameter 60 mm. on the front side there is a relief inscription SLAVUTYCH and the date of the start of construction of the city 1986. All this is located against a background divided into four parts of a circle, similar to the four sides of the World and the background represents the support of the whole world for the city of Slavutych. On the reverse of the medal, with convex embossing, there is a leaf of a tree, which personified (according to the authors’ idea) peaceful life disrupted by the hurricane of the Chernobyl accident, and in a circle are the names of all the republics that participated in the construction of the city: Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine. The edge of the medal is smooth. The ratio of obverse and reverse is medal-like.
