Flag is battle worn and shows such. See pics for condition. Has hole above star. Other what appears are holes are where material is seperating. This flag is rare as most flags from are not taken from battle or have provenance such as this one. This isnt a post war made souvenir but the real thing. This is a very rare one of a kind hand made Viet Cong flag carried in battle made in 1965 or perhaps earlier captured by the 1st Battalion 11th Regiment in Cai Be and given to Major Norbert J Gannon. He was a advisor for the ARVN. He then sent it to me as promised. He was a highly decorated US Army veteran. He served three tours in Viet Nam where he was awarded two Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars, and three Purple Hearts. He was a Ranger, Special Forces officer and promoted to Lt Col.
