This is a very nice and rare pipe that is an effigy of a racoon. Made out of hard high grade steatite that is
commonly called Chlorite in the Southeast. Very dense and heavy.
Fine condition, high workmanship and polish.
I believe this is a type of statuary pipe, and I am not sure but would guess it is of the Hopewell or Ft. Ancient Culture.
