For your purchasing consideration is this BEAUTIFULJapanese Art Deco porcelain produced by the Noritake Company (originally Nippon Toki Kaisha). It is most accurately identified as a berry sugar shaker (muffineer), cream ewer (pitcher), and matching underplate tray. These sets were highly popular in Western markets during the interwar period.
This set featuresLusterware and Crackle Glaze. The luminous, iridescent sheen is achieved through a specialized luster glaze metallic film applied over the ceramic before its final firing. This piece uniquely combines a shimmering pearlized finish with a deliberate crackle-glaze pattern in an Art Deco mint green hue.
The central panels feature hand-painted floral bouquets with stylized, multi-tiered blossoms in vibrant pinks, yellows, and oranges. The edges of the tray contrast beautifully with a more intricate, darker floral and black scroll border.
Art Deco geometrics show the distinct hexagonal, angular tapers on both the shaker and the creamer, paired with a sharp, geometric handle on the pitcher. This structural styling is textbook 1920s–1930s Art Deco design.Gold! The gold is in MINT condition!
This vintage Noritake set has the classic red \"M in wreath\" Morimura Brothers backstamp used on items made in Japan during the early-to-mid 20th century.
The berry sugar shaker (muffineer) measures 7\" high by 2 3/4\" wide. Cream ewer (pitcher) measures 5 1/2 tall by 4\" wide (handle to sport and the tray measures 11 1/2\" wide by 6\" across, and 1 1/2\" deep. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or scratches. The set is in MINT condition.
